YOU are Amazing!

Yes, I am definitely talking to all of you friends and followers... all of you that need to hear once in a while how special you are, whether I know you personally or not!  I made a quick, springtime-cheery card today using the You are Amazing stamp set from Stampin' Up!

The designer paper is from the lovely Flowers for Every Season 6" x 6" stack.  What options!  You could choose one of every pattern to build your card.  I layered it on the Blushing Bride c/s as listed below, then tied a length of Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon around both layers, finally attaching them to the Whisper White Thick c/s base.

I stamped the sentiment in Memento ink and cut it out with one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  I certainly hope this die set stays around for many more years!

The next step was to punch out the daisy -- I listed the Bumblee paper as a supply item on my list below because I used it as my flower center. You could use any yellow as the center if you have a small scrap laying around. The bumblebee matched my ribbon.

I used the medium daisy punch to punch out two flowers, then layered them on top of eachother. I curled the tips around a bone folder, then added some Wink of Stella to the white petals. Of course, I had to pop up both my flowers and sentiment with dimensionals.  I'm including measurements so you can recreate  this  card.

Whisper White Thick c/s: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Blushing Bride c/s: 2 3/4" x 5 1/2"
Flowers for Every Season DSP, pink daisy pattern: 2 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Whisper White c/s scrap for sentiment and daisy
Bumblebee c/s scrap for daisy center
Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon to tie around layered Blushing Bride/DSP layers

The complete supply list with the Host Code is listed below.  PLEASE leave me a comment if you like my card!  Thanks for visiting my blog ... and happy stamping!  Stay Amazing!!

Making it easy!!

Today I want to share a card that we made in our card class this week.  I used the gorgeous Hydrangea Hill designer paper for all of my cards, and especially loved a card I made that is  most likely a 2 minute card!!

Let's talk simple stamping... in other words, #simplestamping.  Stampin' Up! loves us to share cards that are SO easy to duplicate that even a beginning stamper can make the card.  This card is not only  easy, but also super-quick. You don't need to use a lot of tools for simple stamping cards.  For this card in particular, you'd need just a paper trimmer and a block with the stamp set.

The card base is Highland Heather, and I chose to pull the blue out of the background in the designer paper for the mat under the designer paper layer.  What I love about this particular piece of designer paper is that you can get a minimum of 6 cards from each sheet (and don't forget that there are 2 sheets in the package!). This piece had bunches of blue, purple and pink Hydrangea blooms on the top and bottom which is why I could get 6 from one sheet.

I cut the designer paper down to 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" and layered it on a Balmy Blue mat piece of card stock that is 3 3/4" x 5".  That gave me some leftover long narrow strips that I used for the insides of some cards to give a little bit extra interest PLUS I still had the middle of that piece that was 1 1/2" wide to use for other cards, either the middle blue sky, or the Rococo Rose plain design for other cards.

All that was left to do was stamp the sentiment of my choice at the top of the card.  I could have added more, but it wasn't necessary so I didn't!

Here's another closeup view of the card:

I hope you enjoyed my super-quick share for today!  Make sure that you invest in this paper if you love purples and/or Hydrangeas!  It's available in my Stampin' Up! store for a few more months!  I'm including the supply list below so you can always click on that tto be taken to my store if you love it as much as I do!

Until next time ... happy stamping!
